The PMM5544 is a high-performance underwater acoustic modem enabling robust communication, voice capability, and scientific data collection.

PMM5544 Features:

  • Simultaneous 4-Channel Hydrophone Input / 4-Channel Output: Unique to the PMM5544, this allows multi-channel sample-synchronous acoustic processing for integrating advanced sensing, beamforming, and detection applications.
  • Integrated Single Sideband Voice: Includes SSB voice communications with adaptive squelch, VOX, and noise cancellation.
  • High-Speed Dual-Core ARM Processor: Dual-core 1.4 GHz Arm® Cortex®-A53 processor for rapid data processing and efficient onboard control.
  • Multiple Connectivity Options: Gigabit Ethernet, RS-422, and RS-232 interfaces for easy integration.

  • JANUS Support: Enables interoperable underwater communications using the NATO ANEP-87 standard.
  • Phorcys Stheno + Euryale: Adds secure Phorcys communications with Stheno (20–28 kHz) and Euryale (8–12 kHz) capability. Euryale requires a compatible low-frequency transducer.
  • MARIA: Unlocks the Marine Acoustic Rapid Innovation Architecture for custom acoustic algorithms, PCM data access, and advanced hardware control.
